POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Network Administrator,
performs a variety of tasks and projects intended to
assist the Network Administrator in providing helpdesk
support to agency personnel.

Assists Administrator with routine installation and
maintenance of Information Systems equipment, including
minor equipment repairs, backups and upgrades.
·
Provides telephone support regarding software questions,
printing difficulties and hardware troubleshooting.
·
Provides introductory/intermediate-level training of
staff on basic computing terminology, agency network and
software packages.

Performs other duties as requested and/or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
The position requires specialized training such as that
which normally would be acquired in two to three years
of college, technical, vocational, trade or business
school with course work in secretarial skills and
personnel management. Associate's Degree in business or
a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Between three and five years of progressively more
responsible or expansive experience is required.
OTHER
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The position requires the ability to self-direct and
manage multiple projects with strong organizational and
communication skills. The ability to type 60WPM with
accuracy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
software is required. Applicant must be technologically
oriented including familiarity with the Internet and
Desktop Publishing applications.
