Regular, Part Time (M, T, Th, F - 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.)
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Home Delivered
Meals/Kitchen Manager, makes themselves available on an
"on call" basis to provide coverage of delivery routes
for regular and volunteer drivers.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivers meals, records delivery
times and meals delivered on "Route Sheets"

Oversees the well being of homebound
senior citizens and reports any changes to the Food
and Nutritional Services

Loads coolers and/or food boxes as
scheduled into cars for delivery
-
Verifies the correct number of meals
prior to each delivery route
-
Checks meal temperatures and records
data as required
-
Assist and substitute in the kitchen
to help prepare, and prepackage food as needed
-
All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires knowledge normally acquired
through
a general high school education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Required up
to six months of experience, including past experience
in related positions and/or the time required for
orientation and training to reach proficiency in this
position.
SALARY:
$7.40/hr
Other
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
A valid Michigan Drivers license is required.
-
A driving
record in compliance with Community Action insurance
carrier requirements.

Must have
reliable transportation with appropriate insurance
coverage.

Ability
to bend, stoop and kneel
-
Ability
to lift 60 lbs, and transfer from one point to the
other.
Special Considerations:
Employees
with this classification are required to have a
Tuberculosis (TB) test and drug screen upon job offer
with employment conditional on successful outcomes of
both. TB test must be renewed every two years.
